Getting to and around Washington, DC
With convenient access for out of town travelers by way of three regional airports and Amtrak train service, DC is readily accessible for both domestic and international visitors. Once you've arrived, DC is an extremely easy town to navigate. The city prides itself as being pedestrian-friendly, and most area attractions are within walking distance of a Metrorail or Metrobus stop.

Walter E. Washington Convention Center
SLAS2017 educational sessions and the exhibition will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The Walter E. Washington Convention Center is conveniently located between 7th and 9th Streets and N Street and Mt. Vernon Place in downtown DC, right across from Carnegie Library at Mt. Vernon Square.
Both official SLAS2017 hotels the Marriott Marquis Washington, DC (Headquarters Hotel) and Renaissance Washington DC, Downtown are both located adjacent to the Convention Center.
The Water E. Washington Convention Center is within walking distance of many top DC attractions, Metro stops and both official SLAS2017 hotels. The Convention Center is officially located in the Shaw Neighborhood of DC, which offers extensive options for dining, retail, shopping, etc… and establishments often stay open until 9:00pm or later.
